football etc.
I don't know where my Irish Insider from last week is, but for those of you that don't know, it rates the Irish and their upcoming opponent for the weekend on eight different criteria. Namely, coaching, quarterbacks, rushing (for each team), passing (for each team), special teams, and intangibles. Last week, Purdue "won" seven of these, while the other was an "Even" match. This week, it is the same. The only thing I can't remember is if the "Even" was in "Irish Rushing" or "Irish Passing" last week. Hmmm. Either way, it could be a setup for more of the same. I think it really depends on whether we "show up" in the first half (forgot to do last week). And, two of the four "Irish experts" actually predict UCLA to win this weekend. The predictions:
ND 27 - UCLA 24
UCLA 30 - ND 27
UCLA 27- ND 17
ND 17 - UCLA 13
I'm not sure if I even want to try this one. But, I could unfortunately see a UCLA win. However, with playing like the second half of the game last week, I could also see a ND victory happening, and not a moment too soon.
What else is on my mind? So, I realized that two Indiana teams are supposed to be broadcast on ABC. At the same time. Notre Dame is playing away, so that made me wonder... what will my local station cover? I finally found the coverage map. Pretty crazy. I wonder how often it is that Notre Dame only is broadcast on 17% of the affiliates. Yep, 83% of the country is getting #4 Ohio State @ #23 Purdue! A select few (Chicago, Indianapolis, Evansville, and Fort Wayne) will be able to get Notre Dame @ UCLA on their ABC DT2 station. And, for those of us in South Bend, we can get OSU-PU on the CW. Woot! Hooray! I was really worried for a bit.
I'm going home on Sunday for a dinner with my grandpa, and my aunt said I could stay with them on Saturday if I wanted to come up early. But, being that I at least have to see the ND game, or at least as much as I can, I have to stay in this little area central northern Indiana/SW Michigan so I can watch as much of BOTH games as I want! :-P
I think there was something else on my mind, but it's lunchtime now.

That said, I also recommended that someone go through with an idea from another Josh I know. The Toilet Bowl. It could be for the losingest teams. :-) What did I add to the idea last night? I think Kohler should sponsor it. Hahaha. Maybe it would be held in Milwaukee or whatever. It would be more fun if it was at Lambeau Field. :-) That would be quite the feat.
